“To me an exploit on a mountain is beautiful. It is an art form. We demonstrate in the most stunning way of all that there is no limit to the effort man can demand of himself. This quality is the basis of all human achievement in whatever field.” — Walter Bonatti, the great Italian alpinist.
In the winter of 1993/4 Magnus and Fridjon started climbing together as they were a part of a search and rescue organization called the Air Ground Search and Rescue. It became clear from day one that, despite being serious about their climbing, the main goal was to have as much fun as possible. For example, the name ClimbingElvises comes from the very first few trips where if ones feet started shaking then we called it the “Elvis” syndrome and therefore you had to start singing an Elvis-tune.
Today the CE offers great mountain experiences to people of all experiences, from novice climbers taking their first steps in crampons to the seasoned high altitude climber on his/her way to the Seven Summits.
